We have wonderful news from July 4 Plymouth Inc! Thanks to the overwhelming support from the community -- donations from local businesses, individuals and families -- we have reached our fundraising goal in record time! We will keep our fundraising page open for anyone who would like to still donate to begin support for a full day of events in 2022. We will be at the Selectmen's meeting next week to announce the latest plans as the night comes together.
A non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation, committee members are unpaid volunteers with all dollars raised going directly to the performers, safety, and the fireworks company. The group has spent over thirty years ensuring that the 4th of July events happen. In recent years, the committee has been responsible for paying all town related services, i.e. police, fire, and department of public works personnel that support the days events. The 2021 budget for the fireworks is $70,00.00 and all of the funds needed for the day’s activities are raised by private donations. July 4 in America is a celebration of our freedoms, a way to show community spirit through sharing of our collective hometown values. Please help keep America’s Hometown community celebration alive by giving a tax-deductible donation today.
In 1980, the Town of Plymouth could no longer afford to fund the annual Independence Day celebration. A small group of local citizens came together to find the necessary funds that would ensure the community continued their beloved tradition of hosting the 4th of July in America’s Hometown. July 4 Plymouth, Inc. is a non profit organization dedicated to providing America's Hometown with a spectacular 4th of July celebration.
